Welcome to the 2018 GTM Amateur Golf Tour

The 2018 GTM Amateur Tour kicks off it's 8th year at the  Golf Club of The Highlands on March 12th. Continuing on we will play some of the great private and public courses in the Richmond Metro area.  See the SCHEDULE & TOUR BENEFITS section of this website for a list of all the great venues.

The Tour is open to everyone holding an official USGA handicap, male or female, young or old!  We bring area golfers together in competitive golf events at great golf venues.  Each event is flighted with handicaps and players are awarded Fed Ex type points after each event. Top 40 players with the most accumulated points are invited to The Tour Championship in November. Everyone can compete, win and qualify for a "Player of the Year" award and the coveted "Blue Jacket" and "Richmond Cup" Trophy.

Brandermill Country Club!


Brandermill Country Club hosted the 7th annual TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP EVENT for The GTM Amateur Tour- Richmond Cup. The event was the culmination of 8 tour events held at different clubs throughout Richmond. The GTM Tour is modeled after the PGA Fed-EX championship with golfers earning points at each event. The top 40 golfers advanced to the final event held on Monday, November 6th, 2017 at Brandermill Country Club.

The Championship crown was won by Brad Merle of Richmond, Va. with total points of 515 points and crowned 2017 Tour Champion. He was awarded the Richmond Cup Trophy and the coveted Blue Jacket. Brad is a member of Viniterra Golf Club. Marty Martter of Richmond, Va. finished in second place with 495 points after a valiant attempt to catch Brad on the final day. 

The top 10 received awards, prizes and a 2017 GTM Amateur Tour Membership fee exemption. The top 10 list and points accumulated are as follows

The tour event founder, Rob Henshaw was thrilled with the finish. He said, “it has been exciting to watch everyone compete like the pros ”. The events were held at Golf Club at The Highlands, Meadowbrook Country Club, Magnolia Green, Viniterra Golf Club, Brandermill Country Club,  Providence Golf Club,  Stonehenge Country Club, Lake Chesdin Golf Club with Brandermill Country Club hosting the Championship round.
